Sofia has been a dedicated member of the Northumberland Aquatic Club for many years and is now entering her third season as a coach. As a long-time athlete with the club, she brings this experience and lots of excitement to the pool deck. Currently training with the Senior Performance group, swimmers in her groups look up to her as their coach and a team mate. Sofia is an exceptional athlete who also competes in cross country, track, and triathlon.
Sofia believes that swimming should be both challenging and fun. She works to create a positive environment where swimmers are motivated to grow and enjoy the process. Outside of coaching, she works as a lifeguard at the Jack Burger Sports Complex, continuing her dedication to water safety and community involvement.
Sofia is a great role model for younger swimmers and a valued part of the NORAC coaching team.
